The Marina Market has Cork on a Fork festival fever this year with a host of events taking place on Wednesday 14th and Thursday 15th August. Look forward to The Marina Kitchen, which will have some fantastic cooking demos and talks at the pop-up Cork on Fork stage; Eat Cinema, an interactive food cinema experience; and Feastival, a night celebrating all the best of the Marina Market with a festival atmosphere.

11.45pm-1.00pm, Thursday 15th August, Pompeii Pizza at Franciscan Well
Learn how to make pizza at home, using ingredients you can get in the supermarket. Participants will make their own dough & learn how to shape & top a pizza. Everyone will get a pizza on the day and you'll also bring home dough to practice at home. This is an ideal workshop for a family group.

Join Knocknaheeny Community Garden for a delightful day where you can pick fresh produce from the garden, enjoy live music and much more. This event is open to everyone. Come together to celebrate the spirit of community and the joy of gardening.

2.30pm, Thursday 15th August, Living Commons Arts studio Shandon St
Discover your inner artist, and learn about the ancient craft of hand building with clay in this 2.5 hour ceramic workshop. You will design, create and build a unique, contemporary bowl or platter that you can use daily in your kitchen, safe for food use or simply hung on the wall as your very own personal art piece or even frame it after. You will learn the fundamental techniques of hand building, sculpting and texturing a slab of clay. Martha will fire the work twice, once to bisc, I will then glaze it and fire again to a high fired glaze finish. The work will be ready in 3 weeks for collection or postage can be arranged. In this workshop Martha will address two of our Sustainability Goals 2: Zero Hunger and 16: Peace and Justice and Strong Institutions.

Written and delivered by professional Irish actors, this jam-packed, laugh-out-loud dinner performance celebrates all things Cork. Pop down to the Cornmarket Street (Coal Quay) Market, enjoy light bites on the street and everyone can have lots of fun with farm animals, facepainting and giant Jenga, connect four, corn hole, balance board games, colour catcher games, tug of war and more, with our Let’s Play Cork play leaders. Note: this is not supervised play and parents are responsible for children.

Kids will have lots of fun at this hands on pizza making demonstration at Il Padrino, serving the families of Cork for 24 years.
